We're working towards less plastic waste by encouraging more shoppers to bring their own bags when visiting our stores! We extend the invite to you to make the planet better for all too.
Using some of the tips all of you had previously suggested, the folks over @thesmartlocal.com attempted to live a week with as little waste as possible.
Admit it – we love food so much that sometimes we cook or buy more than what we can finish. The good people over at TheSmartLocal.com were challenged to create new dishes from leftovers.

Food makes up 10% of the total waste in Singapore. Last year, Singaporeans produced some 785,500 tonnes of food waste.

CUSTOMER REBATES
FairPrice is the first and only supermarket to offer green rebates. Our Green Rewards Scheme offers a 10-cent rebate to shoppers who bring their own bags when they shop with us. Through this initiative, FairPrice has saved 40 million plastic bags since 2011, with about half a million in BYOB rebates given out annually.

FairPrice is committed to reducing food waste. Our comprehensive Food Waste Framework aims to reduce food waste and focuses on three areas: Processes, Public Education and Partnerships. By tracking wastage with our own FairPrice Food Waste Index, we have reduced food waste by about 40 per cent from 2014 to 2015.
