Our "Great Taste Less Waste Selection" programme repackages and sells unsold fruits and vegetables at a lower price. FairPrice also marks down prices of seafood and chilled meats after being displayed for a day at our stores.
In 2015, FairPrice started a long-term partnership with Food from the Heart (FFTH) where we regularly donate unsold but still wholesome grocery items to the community. To date, more than $200,000 worth of products have been donated.
FairPrice launched a campaign to create greater awareness of food wastage, educate customers on handling food with care and encourage the consumption of blemished fruits and vegetables that are still good to eat.
